How to make your bathroom feel like a spa
Have you ever wondered how you can transform your bathroom into a spa-like sanctuary? The kind of space that instantly makes you feel relaxed and less stressed as soon as you step into it. That is exactly what we set out to do for our clients in our Stoll Place Phase Three project. Read on to see how we designed the perfect bathroom haven for our clients, our top spa-vibe design tips and our favorite tranquil bathroom essentials.
Incorporate a Range of Wood Tones and Unify with Layered Neutrals
Using wood in the design adds warmth to the bathroom and evokes a sense of nature. Mixing wood tones and species is a great way to add contrast to your design. We chose a smooth refined walnut for the cabinets and a slightly more rustic white oak for the beam. They are unified by layered neutral textiles, off-white plaster walls, and a beautiful vintage rug.
Add Ambient Lighting
Harsh lighting in bathrooms does nothing to calm the senses. Well-designed ambient lighting creates a warm, inviting atmosphere, making the space more comfortable and relaxing. Dimmer switches are also a must in your bathroom sanctuary.
Design Closed Storage
Bathrooms can easily become cluttered with makeup, hair tools, and lotions. Closed storage is a game changer when creating a tranquil space. All of the bathroom essentials can be organized and stored behind closed doors and drawers, leaving a clutter-free sanctuary.
Choose Natural Stone
Natural stone creates a quiet rhythm and a hint of opulence. Leathered granite for the countertops in our Stoll Phase Three project softens the aesthetic of the stone and the marble surrounding the wet room feels luxurious yet understated.
We feel calmer already just thinking about stepping inside this dreamy spa-like bathroom.
