Top ten MCDI design moments of 2024
What a year it’s been! As 2024 comes to an end, we can’t help but look back on some of the projects and moments that made this year so special. From designing a custom upholstered bench to creating the ultimate bunkbed room that any kid (or adult!) would love, it’s been a year full of creativity. We’ve also had fun reimagining cafe tables, working with the stunning Taj Mahal quartzite, and expanding our to-the-trade furnishings. These are just a few of the highlights that have made us proud—and we can’t wait to share them with you!

The Risk Taker
Our clients have trusted us to take design risks, and they’ve been thrilled with the results. We are so excited to continue to push design boundaries in 2025.

To-The-Trade Furnishings
We expanded our offerings in to-the-trade furnishings in a big way in 2024.

The All-Day Kitchen
From the Taj Mahal quartzite and sage green cabinets to the zellige tile and beautiful natural light, we would be happy in this kitchen all day, every day.

Primary Bathroom Goals
From the arched built-ins and custom Kelly Ventura window treatment to the white oak vanities and slate floor, this primary bathroom has everything we love.

Custom-Designed Seating
This custom-upholstered bench was the perfect solution for a builder-spec home with an inconvenient dining area in front of the main entryway.

Bring the Drama
In 2024, we officially said goodbye to all-white everything. Color drenching, depth, and drama is here to stay for 2025.

Winning Built-In Storage
We absolutely loved transforming this open mudroom into a sophisticated complement to the dining area.

The Ultimate Bunkbed Room
Our first built-in bunkroom is the stuff of dreams for kids and grown-up guests alike!

The Fan-Favorite Before + After
This was the before + after winner on @mcdesigninteriors Instagram this year. The warmth of the terra cotta is so inviting, don’t you think?

The Perfect Repurposed Moment
We designed two darling cafe tables from a quartz slab remnant from our clients’ previous bathroom renovation.
There were so many great moments in 2024; it was hard to choose just ten! We can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for our clients.
